This Privacy Policy explains how Laars (laars.ru) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our health tracking service.

1. Data we collect

When you create an account, we collect: your name, email address, and password (stored as an encrypted hash). When you use the app, we store the habit and wellness data you voluntarily log. We do not collect payment data (free plan) or health data without your explicit input.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used to: operate your account, send account-related transactional emails (see section 4), and display your personal progress within the app. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for) and legitimate interest (account security). All email communications are transactional and directly related to your account.

4. Emails we send

As a registered user, you may receive the following account-related emails:

• Email verification — sent once when you register, to confirm your address.
• Password reset — sent only when you request it via the "Forgot password?" link.
• Weekly progress report — a summary of your logged habits. Opt out in account settings.
• Habit reminders — sent at a frequency you choose. Disable in account settings.
• Milestone notifications — sent when you achieve a streak goal. Disable in preferences.
• Security alerts — sent when a new device logs into your account. Cannot be disabled.

We do not send unsolicited marketing emails or newsletters to registered users.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to authorised personnel only. We apply industry-standard security measures to prevent unauthorised access.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for session management and authentication. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

7. Your rights

• Access your data — available in your account settings.
• Export your data — download a full copy from settings.
• Delete your account — removes all data within 30 days.
• Opt out of optional emails — manage in notification preferences.

8. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

9. Changes to this policy

We will notify you by email if we make material changes to this policy. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
